Privacy Policy
This explains what Unevee collects when you use the app — as an athlete or a studio — why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Last updated: September 29, 2026Who this policy covers
Unevee ("Unevee", "we", "us") operates the Unevee mobile app and the services behind it — a fitness and gym-management platform used two ways: by athletes, who track workouts, nutrition and attendance and follow studios, and by studios (gyms, trainers, clubs), who manage their members, staff, programs and fees. One account can be both, switching between a personal and a studio workspace.
This policy applies to everyone who uses the Unevee app, website, or related services, in either role. It does not cover third-party sites you reach through a link inside Unevee (for example, a studio's own external website).
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly, information created by using the app, and a small amount of technical information about your device.
Account & profile
- Name, username, email address, phone number, date of birth (where collected), and password (stored as a one-way cryptographic hash — we never store or can see your actual password).
- Profile photo, bio, gender and other details you choose to add.
- For studio accounts: business name, address, phone, verification documents you submit for approval, and staff member details (names, roles, contact info) entered by the studio owner.
Social & content
- Posts, photos and videos you upload, comments, likes, and who you follow or are followed by.
- Direct and group chat messages, and any photo, voice note or document you send in them.
Activity & fitness
- Workouts you log or are assigned, sets/reps/duration, streaks, and body metrics you enter (weight, height, and similar).
- Nutrition entries you log (foods, calories, macros, water intake).
- Attendance check-ins and check-outs at a studio.
Studio & membership
- If you join a studio: your membership plan, start/end dates, and attendance history with that studio.
- If you run a studio: your members' plans, attendance, fee balances, and payments you record.
Technical & device data
- Device type, operating system, app version, language and time zone.
- A push-notification token, so we can deliver notifications to your device.
- Standard server logs (IP address, request timestamps) generated automatically when the app talks to our servers.
Location data
Location is used for two things only:
- Attendance check-in. When you check in or out at a studio, the app reads your current coordinates once and sends them to our server, which compares your distance to the studio to confirm you're actually there. That reading is not kept as an ongoing trail — only the fact and time of the check-in is recorded.
- Live workout tracking. While you're actively recording a workout on-screen (for example a run), the app reads your location to calculate distance and route for that session. This stops the moment you end the recording or leave the screen.
We never sell your location data, and we never share it with advertisers.
Health & fitness data
Workout history, nutrition logs, body metrics and attendance are treated as sensitive information. They are used only to run the features you're using them for — showing your progress, your streaks, and (if you're a studio member) letting that studio's staff see your attendance and the workouts they've assigned you. We do not sell this data, and we do not use it for advertising.
If you're a member of a studio, that studio's owner and staff can see the fitness and attendance data tied to your membership with them — this is how a coach reviews your progress or a front desk confirms your visit. They cannot see your personal posts, private account details, or your activity with other studios.
How we use your information
Run the service
Create your account, show your feed, log workouts, verify attendance, process membership records.
Communicate with you
Push notifications, transactional emails (OTP codes, receipts, studio decisions), and support replies.
Keep the platform safe
Detect abuse, enforce our terms, verify studios, and respond to reports.
Improve Unevee
Understand which features are used and fix what's broken, using aggregated, non-identifying patterns.
Legal & compliance
Meet record-keeping obligations and respond to lawful requests.
We do not use your personal data to serve you third-party advertising, and we do not run any advertising SDK in the app.
Payments & membership fees
Unevee does not process card payments and has no payment gateway or wallet. When you pay a studio's membership fee, a staff member records that payment by hand in the app — we do not collect, transmit or store your card number, bank details, or any other payment-card data, because we never receive it in the first place. What we do store is the record of the payment itself (amount, date, method as entered by staff, and a receipt number) so you and the studio both have an accurate history.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, so the app keeps working the way you'd expect. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data, except where we're required to keep certain records for longer — for example, financial records a studio needs for its own accounting or tax obligations, or information needed to resolve a dispute or enforce our terms. Anonymized or aggregated data that no longer identifies you may be kept indefinitely.
How we protect it
We use industry-standard safeguards: passwords are never stored in plain text (they're hashed with bcrypt before they ever touch a database), all traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS), and access to studio data is restricted to that studio's own owner and staff. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to respond quickly if anything goes wrong.
Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain uses of it. You can exercise most of these directly in the app:
- Access & correct: edit your profile, body metrics and preferences any time from Settings.
- Delete your account: available from Settings — this removes your personal data as described in "How long we keep it" above.
- Notification preferences: control which push notifications you receive, including studio alerts, from Settings.
- Everything else: for a formal data request, a correction we haven't built a settings screen for yet, or any other privacy question, email us at the address below.
Children's privacy
Unevee is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or the minimum age in your country, if higher). If you believe a child has created an account or given us personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.
International transfers
Our service providers operate globally, so your information may be processed in a country other than the one you live in, which may have different data-protection laws. Where this happens, we rely on our providers' own safeguards for cross-border transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Unevee changes. If we make a material change, we'll update the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. Continuing to use Unevee after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
